Sonu Nigam’s Earlier Karjat Deals

One 0.405-hectare parcel sold for ₹50 lakh, while a 0.718-hectare plot changed hands for ₹75 lakh. Another 0.607-hectare parcel fetched ₹50 lakh, and a smaller 0.208-hectare plot sold for ₹20 lakh. Why Is Karjat Emerging as a Key Real Estate Destination?

Karjat, located in Maharashtra’s Raigad district near Mumbai, is increasingly attracting investors and second-home buyers. This is due to its inclusion in the Mumbai 3.0 development vision.

The region forms part of the larger expansion corridor around the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. Authorities are positioning the area as a future economic and residential hub aimed at reducing pressure on Mumbai’s existing urban infrastructure.

Improved connectivity and upcoming infrastructure projects are increasing real estate interest in Karjat and nearby areas. Comparatively affordable land prices are also attracting investors, celebrities, and second-home buyers to the region.

How Is the Maharashtra Government Supporting Mumbai 3.0?

The Maharashtra government is actively promoting the Mumbai 3.0, or Third Mumbai, vision. The plan includes infrastructure investments, land pooling policies, and incentives to attract industries, global capital, and integrated township developments.

Large-scale urban planning initiatives across Raigad and Navi Mumbai are expected to transform the region. The area is likely to emerge as a major residential and commercial growth corridor over the coming years.

Infrastructure projects are steadily progressing across the region. At the same time, the new airport is nearing operational readiness. As a result, land transactions in areas like Karjat are expected to remain in focus among investors and end users.
