Actor Shakti Kapoor and his daughter, actor Shraddha Kapoor, have leased a Mumbai apartment for ₹2.5 lakh a month, according to the documents accessed by CRE Matrix.

The agreement covers a 1,050 sq ft furnished apartment on the third floor of Piramal Mahalaxmi South Tower in Mahalaxmi East, Mumbai.
The agreement was registered on June 26, 2026. The 36-month lease started on July 1, 2026, and will continue until June 30, 2029.
The monthly rent is ₹2.5 lakh for the first year. It will increase by 5% annually to ₹2.625 lakh per month in the second year. This amount will further increase to ₹2.756 lakh per month in the third year.
As a result, the agreement provides for total rental payments of approximately ₹94.58 lakh over three years.
The tenant has also paid an interest-free refundable security deposit of ₹7.5 lakh.
What are the lease termination terms?
The agreement includes a 12-month lock-in period. During this period, neither party can terminate the agreement without the consequences specified in the contract.
After the lock-in period, either party can terminate the agreement by providing 30 days’ written notice, subject to the other terms.
What was Shraddha Kapoor’s earlier Juhu rental deal?
Shraddha Kapoor has also been associated with a high-value rental property in Juhu.
In October 2024, she leased a 3,928.86 sq ft apartment at Prime Beach, Juhu, for ₹6 lakh a month. The one-year agreement included four car parking spaces and an annual rental commitment of ₹72 lakh.
Subsequently, she renewed the lease in February 2026 for another year. The renewed agreement covered the same apartment and four parking spaces, with a starting monthly rent of ₹6 lakh.
How much rental income will the Mahalaxmi apartment generate?
At the agreed annual escalation, the Mahalaxmi apartment will generate approximately ₹94.58 lakh in gross rent over the three-year lease period.
This amount excludes maintenance and other charges that the licensors will bear separately under the agreement.
