Prajakta Mali Sells Goregaon East Apartment for ₹1.12 Crore

Marathi actor Prajakta Dnyaneshwar Mali has sold a 473 sq ft apartment in Goregaon East, Mumbai, for ₹1.12 crore. The transaction was registered on September 10, 2026, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix.

What are the key details of Prajakta Mali’s property sale?

Mali sold the 473 sq ft apartment in Goregaon East for ₹1.12 crore. The agreement for sale was registered on September 10, 2026.

The transaction attracted a stamp duty of ₹6.73 lakh, according to the registration document. The sale therefore involved a relatively smaller ticket size compared with several high-value celebrity property transactions in Mumbai.

However, celebrity activity is increasingly visible across different segments of the city’s residential market.

The sale also comes shortly after Mali purchased another apartment in Goregaon East for ₹6.42 crore. The purchase was registered on August 12, 2026.

What property did Prajakta Mali purchase in Goregaon East?

Mali purchased an apartment in Oberoi Exquisite on Mohan Gokhale Road, Goregaon East. The apartment has a carpet area of approximately 996 sq ft and includes a car parking space.

The registered consideration works out to around ₹64,500 per sq ft of carpet area. Meanwhile, the sale deed records a total consideration of ₹6.4 crore.

Mali financed a significant portion of the purchase through a housing loan. She availed a ₹5.78 crore loan from Indian Bank, according to the sale deed.

Are celebrities expanding beyond ultra-luxury residential properties?

Celebrity property activity in Mumbai is not limited to ultra-luxury homes. Recent transactions also show celebrities buying and selling properties across lower ticket sizes.

Earlier this year, actor Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Shriram Madhav Nene, sold their Juhu apartment for ₹4.40 crore. They had acquired the property for ₹1.94 crore around 14 years earlier.

The transaction reflected capital appreciation of around 127%, based on property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix.

In another transaction, actress Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor, purchased a residential apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra West for ₹63 lakh.

How does the ₹1–5 crore segment fit into Mumbai’s housing market?

The broader Mumbai housing market also shows strong activity in the ₹1–5 crore segment. In 2026 year-to-date, nearly 60% of residential sales in Mumbai were in this price range, according to CRE Matrix.

This segment offers buyers a wider choice of locations and property types. As a result, celebrity transactions are also appearing across a broader range of ticket sizes.

The trend also highlights the role of location, returns, ticket size, and timing in residential property decisions. Moreover, selling a property after strong appreciation does not necessarily indicate an exit from real estate.

Instead, investors may reallocate capital into another property or asset. Mali’s recent sale and purchase in Goregaon East reflects this broader pattern of buying and selling within a property portfolio.
