Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has once again made headlines in Mumbai’s real estate market. According to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, the actor recently sold two apartments in Oberoi Sky City, Borivali (East), Mumbai, for a combined consideration of ₹7.1 crore.

Akshay Kumar sold two apartments located in Oberoi Sky City, one of Borivali’s prominent residential developments.
The larger apartment, situated on a higher floor, offers a carpet area of 1,101 sq ft. The property changed hands for ₹5.75 crore and attracted a stamp duty payment of ₹28.75 lakh. Additionally, the transaction includes two dedicated car parking spaces.
Meanwhile, the second apartment on the same floor measures 252 sq ft and was sold for ₹1.35 crore. The buyer paid a stamp duty of ₹6.75 lakh, and the deal includes one car parking space.
How Much Appreciation Did the Properties Generate?
The transactions reflect significant capital appreciation over the holding period.
Akshay Kumar originally acquired the larger apartment from Incline Realty Pvt Ltd in November 2017 for ₹3 crore. He purchased the smaller unit during the same period for ₹67.55 lakh.
By selling the two properties for a combined ₹7.1 crore, the actor appears to have realized substantial gains on his original investment. Consequently, the transactions underscore the long-term value creation potential of premium residential assets in established Mumbai micro-markets.
Earlier this year, Akshay Kumar also leased out a duplex apartment in the Oberoi Complex, Andheri (West). The unit, located across the 11th and 12th floors of the Sky Pan building and featuring a private terrace, was registered on April 7, 2026. According to property registration documents reviewed by CRE Matrix, the lease agreement carries a starting monthly rent of ₹1.44 lakh.
