India’s ₹1–2 crore residential segment recorded nearly ₹1 lakh crore in home sales across major markets in H1 2026.
Among the cities covered, CRE Matrix data revealed that Bengaluru recorded the highest sales value at ₹25,393 crore, followed by MMR at ₹21,381 crore and Hyderabad at ₹18,726 crore.
Bengaluru leads ₹1–2 crore home sales
Bengaluru recorded sales of 17,050 homes in the ₹1–2 crore price segment during H1 2026.
The total sales value stood at ₹25,393 crore, making Bengaluru the largest market in this segment among the cities covered.
Its sales value was significantly higher than the next two markets, MMR and Hyderabad.
MMR records ₹21,381 crore in sales
MMR ranked second with 15,334 homes sold in the ₹1–2 crore segment.
The total value of these transactions stood at ₹21,381 crore.
The MMR numbers cover Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Raigad and Palghar.
Hyderabad crosses ₹18,700 crore
Hyderabad recorded 13,047 home sales worth ₹18,726 crore during the first half of 2026.
Together, Bengaluru, MMR and Hyderabad accounted for around 66% of the total sales value across the markets covered.
This indicates a strong concentration of ₹1–2 crore housing demand across these three markets.
Pune records over ₹12,000 crore in sales
Pune recorded 9,117 homes sold, with a total sales value of ₹12,166 crore.
The figures include Pune PMC and Pune PCMC areas.
Pune was followed by NCR, where 5,680 homes were sold for a combined value of ₹8,867 crore.
How did other markets perform?
The remaining markets also recorded notable sales in the ₹1–2 crore segment:
- Ahmedabad: ₹7,388 crore across 5,495 homes
- Chennai: ₹4,201 crore across 3,062 homes
- Kolkata: ₹1,525 crore across 1,145 homes
Across all eight markets, approximately 69,930 homes worth ₹99,647 crore were sold during H1 2026.

The ₹1–2 crore segment accounted for a substantial volume of housing transactions across India’s major residential markets in H1 2026.
Bengaluru, MMR and Hyderabad emerged as the largest markets by sales value, together contributing more than three-fifths of the total value covered in the analysis.
The distribution also shows that demand in this price bracket extends beyond the largest metros, with Pune, NCR and Ahmedabad recording sizeable transaction volumes.
