{"id":4284,"date":"2026-09-17T11:28:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-17T05:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.crematrix.com\/blog\/?p=4284"},"modified":"2026-09-21T11:30:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T06:00:58","slug":"indias-%e2%82%b91-2-crore-housing-segment-sees-strong-sales-in-h1-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crematrix.com\/blog\/indias-%e2%82%b91-2-crore-housing-segment-sees-strong-sales-in-h1-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"India\u2019s \u20b91\u20132 Crore Housing Segment Sees Strong Sales in H1 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>India\u2019s \u20b91\u20132 crore residential segment recorded nearly \u20b91 lakh crore in home sales across major markets in H1 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the cities covered, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crematrix.com\/\">CRE Matrix<\/a> data revealed that Bengaluru recorded the highest sales value at \u20b925,393 crore, followed by MMR at \u20b921,381 crore and Hyderabad at \u20b918,726 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Bengaluru leads \u20b91\u20132 crore home sales<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bengaluru recorded sales of 17,050 homes in the \u20b91\u20132 crore price segment during H1 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total sales value stood at \u20b925,393 crore, making Bengaluru the largest market in this segment among the cities covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its sales value was significantly higher than the next two markets, MMR and Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>MMR records \u20b921,381 crore in sales<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MMR ranked second with 15,334 homes sold in the \u20b91\u20132 crore segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total value of these transactions stood at \u20b921,381 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MMR numbers cover Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Raigad and Palghar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Hyderabad crosses \u20b918,700 crore<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hyderabad recorded 13,047 home sales worth \u20b918,726 crore during the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, Bengaluru, MMR and Hyderabad accounted for around 66% of the total sales value across the markets covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This indicates a strong concentration of \u20b91\u20132 crore housing demand across these three markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Pune records over \u20b912,000 crore in sales<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pune recorded 9,117 homes sold, with a total sales value of \u20b912,166 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The figures include Pune PMC and Pune PCMC areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pune was followed by NCR, where 5,680 homes were sold for a combined value of \u20b98,867 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>How did other markets perform?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The remaining markets also recorded notable sales in the \u20b91\u20132 crore segment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Ahmedabad:<\/strong> \u20b97,388 crore across 5,495 homes<\/li><li><strong>Chennai:<\/strong> \u20b94,201 crore across 3,062 homes<\/li><li><strong>Kolkata:<\/strong> \u20b91,525 crore across 1,145 homes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Across all eight markets, approximately 69,930 homes worth \u20b999,647 crore were sold during H1 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>What do the numbers indicate?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u20b91\u20132 crore segment accounted for a substantial volume of housing transactions across India\u2019s major residential markets in H1 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bengaluru, MMR and Hyderabad emerged as the largest markets by sales value, together contributing more than three-fifths of the total value covered in the analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distribution also shows that demand in this price bracket extends beyond the largest metros, with Pune, NCR and Ahmedabad recording sizeable transaction volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>CRE Matrix Data Advantage<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CRE Matrix combines extensive residential transaction data with market-level insights across India\u2019s major cities.
